What’s Happening?


How many times have you said, “What else could go wrong?,” or “Why do things keep happening to me?.”

We all have said it or at least thought it several times during our lifetime. Have you ever stopped to think, maybe it is your thoughts and perceptions that are causing you to have more NEGATIVE experience?


What we say to ourselves consciously and subconsciously has a significant impact on our daily decision making and how we perceive the world. For example, If you constantly say there are no good men or women, the chances of you finding a healthy relationship will be slim. In other words when you think the worst, you are putting that kind of negative energy in the atmosphere.


Try this for one week:

1. Wake up every morning and take a moment to be grateful for a new day. (Think of 3 things you are grateful for).

2. Start the day listening to a song that makes you happy, or read your favorite quote/devotion

3. Look in the mirror and smile. Tell yourself, “I will have a good day because I deserve it.”


For some this may sound cheesy, but those who understand the power of self-talk and positive affirmations know how truly life changing this can be.

We have to learn to shift our mindsets to see positive change. Be blessed on your journey.
